The State of California has published this list of phone numbers to help you take the first step in finding alcohol and drug treatment programs in your county. They can provide referral information and help find a program that fits your individual needs.
Services vary by county, and the links below provide more information about affordable and free programs available in your area. Some include a toll free hotline for assistance at any time.
Los Angeles County Substance Abuse Prevention and Control offers a full range of services for youth and adults including inpatient and outpatient services, counseling, detoxification and a referral hotline.
Orange County Social Services provides a referral hotline for crisis intervention, assessment and evaluation, HIV education, counseling, as well as inpatient and outpatient treatment centers.
Riverside County Substance Abuse Program – Offers outpatient, MOMS perinatal day treatment, youth services, detoxification, aftercare, and residential treatment.
San Bernardino County Department of Alcohol and Drug Services offers detoxification, prevention, outpatient, perinatal and residential programs and a referral hotline
San Diego County Alcohol and Drug Services offers a full range of prevention, treatment, and crisis support for youth and adults including counseling, detoxification, prevention, outpatient and residential treatment centers. Santa Barbara Alcohol, Drug, and Mental Health Services – offers 24/7 toll free support and referrals to local organizations that provide alcohol and drug prevention, treatment, and recovery services to the community.
Santa Barbara Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse – provides alcohol and drug prevention programs and treatment services for youth and adults.
Ventura County Adult Alcohol and Drug Treatment Programs provides treatment services for individuals coping with a substance use disorder, including screening, crisis intervention, counseling, HIV education, assessment and evaluation, referrals, and outreach to the community.
Ventura County Youth Services provides drug and alcohol abuse prevention services, assessment, treatment, crisis intervention and referral services to youth and families.
Ventura County Women’s Services – drug and alcohol treatment program serving women who are using alcohol or drugs while pregnant, and women with children.
